Come on! If two adults were in the water throwing sand at each other, I promise you they would not be laughing. I loved the photos I was able to get at this sunflower field. This one just makes me smile! We were making silly faces at the camera but Emma took a little tickling to get in the mood. You all know what a huge advocate I am about being in the picture with your family. This was taken just a few hours after we returned home and we were all so happy to be together again :O) When we hoped back from the States it took us 6 days! I was exhausted and so ready to be in Ian’s arms again! The weather was gorgeous when we landed so I begged him to go for a walk. It always make me smile to see him pull it out :O) This is the same camera that in the middle of my wedding started to rewind while we were all praying. He loves taking pictures just as much as I do!! Who knew that was possible :O) What is funny is this is his old film camera and even though his daughters have bought him nice little digital ones he refuses to use them. This is Ian’s grandpa (who could you please pray for, he just had a mini-stroke last week). Such sweet innocence!! Sure wish I knew what she was wishing for :O) I think she stood like this for over a minute. The attendant handed Kate the heart of her stuffed animal and told her to make a wish. I just adore this one because we were at Build-a-Bear back in the States. Here you go! My Top 5 favorite photos of my girls in no particular order. on a lifetime of happiness. It was so much fun to go through my pictures from Jan-Mar and pick out my favorites.
“We realized we don’t have any pictures of us hanging at all, so it’ll be a nice addition.” Cheers to the new Mr. “I think we’ll definitely hang some in our living room and bedroom,” Amber says. (Those are a little more enjoyable anyway, right?) And, since everyone in the bridal party just so happens to be a ham in front of the camera, the photos turned out better than expected. Amber tells us that she isn’t a fan of typical wedding poses so she asked Sarah to focus on the spontaneous, candid shots. “It can be really hard to capture that range well without washing anyone out or turning anyone into a shadow.”Īs for our favorite part about this wedding? The incredibly fun portraits that Sarah captured on the sidewalk near the venue. “My mom is dark-skinned, I’m medium-skinned, Phil, his family, and my dad’s family are fair-skinned,” she tells us. For Amber, hiring a shutterbug who photographed interracial couples well was something at the top of her priority list and when Amber’s maid on honor found Sarah on Instagram, Amber was immediately smitten.
After Amber let out the biggest “yes,” a photographer snuck out from behind her hiding place and the affianced couple had an engagement session, right there on the spot.įor their wedding, the two chose Sarah Beach Photography to capture their Cannon Green nuptials.
He got down on one knee and asked THE question. And what came next? You guessed it, ladies and gentlemen. Three years later, during a hike in Great Falls, Virginia (the same place where they did their first hike together years prior), Phil surprised Amber with a blanket spread out with flowers and a video playing on a laptop, which included snippets of advice and blessings from family and friends. Amber and Phil met while working in the same nonprofit organization together in Washington, D.C.
